Tired of having a messy desk? It may be time to give your home office a makeover and get things sorted out. With this easy Dollar Tree DIY using wood pallets, you can create a chic two-shelf organizer for your home office. All you need to get started are two wood planks, two wood pallets, acrylic paint, wallpaper, wood glue, and hot glue.

Start by deciding if you would like to paint the wood or keep it plain. Using an acrylic paint will allow you to cover any scratches on the Dollar Tree wood, and not painting it will give the shelf a more natural look. Once you have painted all of the wood (or decided not to), trim your wallpaper to the size of the wood and stick to the top of the plank. Assemble the shelves by attaching the short edge wood plank to the back of the wood pallet using wood and hot glue. Then repeat for the other side. Add the top shelf the same way, and let it dry.

Customize this DIY

This DIY is completely customizable for all of your needs. Add small plastic organizers like these crafter's square craft/bead storage containers from Dollar Tree to keep track of small office items like rubber bands and push pins. Alternatively, if you have a few small picture frames, such as these from Dollar Tree, or can create your own stand, you can display small wallet-sized photos. You can also use this space for miscellaneous items like those reading glasses you can never seem to find, or a calculator, or even your favorite sticky notes.

Also, make the project match your office decor. Keep the project natural and don't add any paint or wallpaper. Alternatively, add lots of bright colors and a fun wallpaper design to make it perfect for your student's homework spot or new dorm room. When you add this DIY to the items you can use to organize your desk and take a moment to set up your home office for maximum focus, you will be ready to tackle any project!
