Govee's Latest Strip Lights Win House Digest's Innovation Award At IFA 2024

LED light strips are one of the best ways to add dynamic color and lighting to nearly any part of your home, whether it's behind your television stand, above your kitchen counters, or along the trim of your ceiling. But until now, these strips have typically been limited due to their color and brightness options, with most only allowing users to choose one color per light strip length. This can make for some pretty underwhelming lightscapes. Luckily, with Govee's latest product launch at the IFA 2024 in Berlin, that's all changing.

Govee Strip Light 2 Pro shows off all-new 'LuminBlend'™ Color Control System

Govee's Strip Light 2 Pro stands out amongst its competitors because it allows users to control the light strips with ultimate precision. In regular LED light strips, you can only select one color point and brightness for the entire wheel, but with Govee's latest offering, that's no longer the case. With the help of the Govee app, users can now break each meter of light strip into 10 unique sections, which allows a wide variety of customization options, making for gorgeous, vibrant, and unique color settings. Although playing around with these options until you find the perfect color combo is one of the biggest perks, you can always see how the pros handle it by choosing from one of Govee's 100 preset scene modes and 16 music modes. With the touch of a button, you can switch between lighting fit for a Barbie princess party and a cozy night in.

All of these incredible features are supported by Govee's premier technology, the "LuminBlend"™ Color Control System, which features a self-developed G1151 chip, advanced RGBWW 5-in-1 LEDs, and an intelligent color-blending algorithm. In lay terms, this provides each strip with superior color depth and accuracy, especially in low-saturation scenarios, ensuring that even the subtlest hues are rendered beautifully. In this newest launch, the LED bulbs themselves are more robust than ever with 5-in-1 RGBWW, making for vibrant, accurate color rendering, even on light, pastel shades, which are often washed out on other light strips. Additionally, Govee's exclusive "LuminBlend"™ Colors section in the Govee Home app provides a curated selection of lighting effects, allowing for next level lighting experience.

Govee COB Strip Light Pro: Best-in-class, stylish COB lighting solution

Another key point that demonstrates Govee's commitment to innovation is found in the Govee COB Strip Light Pro, the first of Govee's extensive lighting systems to utilize Chip On Board (COB) technology. COB lighting systems have circuit boards directly integrated into the strips, providing brighter, more vibrant lights without using excess energy. This product features the industry's highest LED density with 1260 LEDs per meter, offering unparalleled brightness and smooth, diffused light. Though these look like small bulbs, Govee has enclosed them inside a silicone casing, which provides soft, diffused light that looks polished. This is ideal if the strips are visible on a surface, such as with console tables or under-cabinet applications. The COB Strip Light Pro includes RGBICW LEDs, which means just like the Strip Light 2 Pro, users can enjoy a wide range of lighting customization settings, offering 12 customizable segments per meter.   The RGBICW LEDs included in this strip allow for both white light illumination and vibrant color ambiance, giving users full control over their lighting environment.

Color and brightness aren't the only exciting opportunities for customization when it comes to the COB Strip Light Pro, as this light strip can be trimmed to various lengths. That means a single strip can be cut to fit around the base of a small end table, and the rest can be wrapped around the perimeter of a headboard. This ensures users won't need to awkwardly tuck or double-back the light strip, making for a polished, clean look.

Unparalleled, stylish, and user-friendly lighting that exudes innovation

Customizable LED light strips are a clever way to brighten up your space in style, as they can add warm, cozy lighting or playful, multicolor swatches, totally transforming the vibe of the room. For instance, placing Govee LED light strips behind the sofa can help you avoid putting on a harsh, bright overhead light while giving the room a delightful glow. They could also be excellent additions to the baseboards of the hallway, providing subtle lighting so you and your family don't have to fumble in the dark during late-night visits to the bathroom or fridge.

The Govee Home app enables customers to easily and remotely monitor and adjust their light strip settings with deft precision and view dozens of preset options. From the app, you can label each of these strips and segments and add other Govee-made devices in your home, so turning on your Govee lamp by the bed is just as easy as turning the light strip behind your headboard into a relaxing mode for bedtime.

Beyond Govee's incredible, easy-to-use app, the Strip Light 2 Pro and the COB Strip Light Pro support Matter, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant for hands-free control and seamless integration with major smart home platforms. IFA is all about innovation, and few products this year proved to be more illuminating than Govee's next-gen strip lights.
