Add Some Sparkle To Your Coffee Station With A Glamorous Keurig K-Cup Holder DIY

If you have a Keurig coffee maker, you know that deciding how to store all those individual K-cups can be challenging. While you could place them in a drawer or on a shelf in your pantry, perhaps you'd like them to be more accessible. There are freestanding K-cup holders that you could purchase, but these often have pretty basic designs. If you want to add some sparkle to your home while creating a perfectly organized kitchen, DIY a glass K-cup holder that you can decorate with gems (or with whatever you desire).

Begin by gathering your materials. For a stand that can hold 16 K-cups, you'll need four glass taper candleholders as well as four packages of glass tealight holders from Dollar Tree — each of these items will cost $1.25. You'll also need your gems — adhesive rhinestones are available on Amazon for $4, or you could purchase crystal ribbon strips from Walmart for $3. Super glue like E6000 (sold on Amazon for under $4) and spray paint in your color of choice (Rust-Oleum is a good option, available at Walmart for $6) are also required. For the top of the stand, you can use either a bowl like the clear plastic fluted container at Dollar Tree for $1.25 or a drawer knob like the Brainerd Fashion Acrylics option at Lowe's for about $4. Choosing the bowl will provide you with additional storage for items like sugar packets.

Building your glam K-cup holder

To begin this project (per DIYwithMelissa on YouTube), spray paint any elements you desire. You could spray paint just the inside of the tealight holders and the bowl for the top, or you could cover every single item. If you only want certain sections of something to be painted, cover the parts you want to keep clear with painter's tape. Once everything is dry, glue gems around the inside rim of each of the tealight holders with E6000. If desired, you can glue additional gemstones around the candleholders as well. Or, if you don't want to use gemstones, try replacing them with twine for a rustic look or ribbon for a cottagecore appearance.

You'll then use E6000 to attach four tealight holders around the base of each of the candleholders. They should point outwards — these are the containers that will hold all your individual K-cups. If you want them to dry faster, you can also use hot glue, but this may look a bit messier. Once you've attached the tealight holders to all four of the candleholders and they're all dry, you'll stack the candleholders on top of each other and connect them together with E6000. Finally, glue the bowl or drawer knob to the top of the piece. Place your finished K-cup holder next to your coffee machine in your home coffee bar. An extra tip: once you're done using the K-cups each morning, learn how to repurpose them to make your coffee habit work for you.
