DIY The Cutest Disco Ball Spiders To Spruce Up Your Halloween Home Decor

As summer comes to an end, autumn begins to make its comeback, bringing with it the annual debut of spooky season. If you're a Halloween lover, you probably agree that the holiday deserves its very own festive season. As far as we're concerned, as soon as the kids go back to school and the premieres of your favorite fall television shows start to drop, it's time to get started on crafting your own spooktacular creations for decorating your home for Halloween. First up: disco ball spiders.

These shiny, cutesy spiders are cheap and easy Halloween decorations you can DIY that will serve as the perfect transition into the season of darkness. They're not too scary, but they are quick and easy to make and festive enough to ride out any cheerful last days of summer that might still remain. All you'll need are a few mini disco balls in at least two sizes, silver pipe cleaners, toothpicks or wooden dowels, and a strong clear adhesive.

How to create your own festive DIY disco ball spiders

Each disco ball spider will require two mini disco balls: a small one for the head an a larger one for the body. Start by removing any plug pieces at the bottom or top of the balls and inserting your dowel or toothpick with glue to hold the two balls together. For the spider's legs, you will simply fold four pipe cleaners in half — two for each side — creating eight legs. Widen the pipe cleaner legs to create one pair of legs per cleaner, then mold a foot shape on each end. Glue the shiny spider legs in place and you're finished.

TiktoKer, ChelseaZepherina, recommends using E6000 glue, available on Amazon for under $4.00. If you'd like to spice up your spider display, consider using colored disco balls and matching (or mismatched) pipe cleaners to create a dazzling display of arachnids that spans the entire rainbow. You can hang your new creepy crawlers on your walls or use them to put together a one-of-a-kind beautiful dining table centerpiece for your first autumn dinner party of the season.
