Costco's Floor Mirror Vs. Sam's Club's: Which Is The Better Buy?

There have been countless social media posts about shoppers raving about the viral Costco and Sam's Club floor mirrors. With both mirrors having the same overall look, how do you know which retailer is giving you the better deal? Not all floor mirrors are created equal, and we're breaking down the biggest reasons why the Sam's Club mirror is a favorite among TikTokers (and us too) — and why it's the better deal.

Since 2020, when people started shifting their attention to home decor, the mirror market has seen an uptick in higher-than-anticipated demand, which makes finding an affordable floor mirror a slightly bigger challenge. Oversized floor mirrors can be statement-making additions no matter which room they go in because they can make small spaces look bigger and instantly brighten up any room. They can also go anywhere, like in awkward corners, against a bare wall, and in narrow hallways. And that's why people love adding them inside their closets for a full-length view, bedrooms, living rooms, and anywhere that needs some dimension.

Costco and Sam's Club upped their home decor game when they began offering dupes of high-end floor mirrors like the Anthropologie Gleaming Primrose mirror that sells for almost $1,600. The retailers' floor mirrors have gone viral thanks to their similar French antique design that comes at a much more affordable price. Read on to find out why we picked the Sam's Club floor mirror as the better buy.

Costco or Sam's Club viral floor mirror?

People took notice when Costco and Sam's Club came out with their dupes for the Anthropologie floor mirror. The Costco Ravena floor mirror is positively stunning, featuring cast-iron scrolls and a solid, gilded metal frame. It stands 65 inches tall and costs $149.99 in-warehouse and $249 online. Still a far cry from Anthropologie's floor mirror. It's really a bummer that the online price is $100 more, especially for those who don't have a warehouse near them. Costco's online product reviewers have questioned the price difference, too.

The Sam's Club Azalea Park filigree floor mirror is 72 inches tall and costs just under $150 — a whopping $100 cheaper online than Costco, which is reason No. 1 that it's the better deal. People are losing sleep over this mirror because the rounded design on top makes it look even more like the Anthropologie mirror than Costco's version. The mirror has gone viral several times, and the retailer hasn't raised its price, at least not yet. Sam's Club has also had this mirror on sale, while Costco upped the price. And that's reason number two why Sam's Club wins this battle of the floor mirrors.

Although the Azalea Park mirror is the better deal, it regularly goes in and out of stock. So, when your patience is as thin as a strand of hair, then head over to Costco since you can get that floor mirror leaning against your wall by next week.

How to pick a floor mirror

Picking the perfect floor mirror isn't as easy as it sounds. Sure, it's fun to shop for mirrors, but when it comes to making that purchase, it's important to keep a few things in mind. First, think about the size of the room where the mirror will go. You don't want it to overwhelm the room, so for smaller spaces, World Market's vintage-style leaning mirror is shorter and has a simplistic design that gives off a touch of class.

Second, the bigger the mirror, the easier it is to break, so even if you don't have a small room but have kids, you don't want a bulky floor mirror getting in your way. Thin mirrors are more versatile and can offer more practicality. The Home Depot has a skinny mirror with a rounded top and hand-carved vintage-inspired decorative accents that give off those Anthropologie vibes. Last, what's your budget? Floor mirrors come at different price points, from uber-expensive to budget-friendly. Walmart's 64-inch filigree arch floor mirror might be the most affordable option. The gold accents along its frame give it a little extra oomph. Constructed with high-quality materials and coming with rave reviews, it gives Sam's Club a run for their money.

But the best option if you're looking to save money is to take a floor mirror you already have but don't love anymore and create a DIY arch with TikTok's pool noodle hack to give it a fresh update.
