Costco Next: What It Is And The Home Brands To Look For

If it weren't for big box wholesalers, entire homes would be left to languish for decades, unfurnished with overgrown, flowerless yards. Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but homeowners do rely so much on Costco's home products for everything from sleeper sofas to storage sheds to shovels. Now, the warehouse giant is offering even bigger discounts on home and garden must-haves with the expansion of Costco Next, a curated collection of home and garden products (and more!).

The program offers limited-time deals with "trusted suppliers," a group that includes big brand names such as Jacuzzi and Viking. Customers go to the Costco site to find the suppliers by selecting Costco Next on the left side of the top navigation bar and entering their name and membership number to gain access to "Members Only Values." These purchases made online come directly from the supplier. There are dozens of partners, creating recent online whispers that Next is Costco's "best-kept secret," even though the program launched in 2017. Some see the expansion as a way to soften the blow that Costco will raise its membership fees September 1, 2024, by showing there are added perks to joining.

Don't sleep on these deep home and garden discounts

Without a Costco membership, there is no way to tell what is on sale and at what discount, but some reviews say that prices can be slashed by as much as 40% and others by more than half. A Costco email address is devoted to handling problems with orders, which seems helpful since each supplier has its own return policy. Since you are buying directly from the supplier, be aware you might have to spend a minimum amount to take advantage of these special deals.

In spite of any caveats, the potential for deep discounts on popular brands such as Yardistry, known for its greenhouse that is perfect for a balcony, make it worth checking out. In the Home and Kitchen category, there are 15 partners, which include the likes of Fitz and Floyd, Kingston Kitchen and Bath, Mikasa, and Thomas Kinkade Studios. In Lawn and Garden, there are seven, including Gorilla Shed and Jacuzzi (although there are a few things you should to know before installing one of these bathtubs). The Home Improvement section features Golden Arowana and Volt. Three vendors are in Appliances: Cuckoo, Vinotemp, and Zline. Whatever you're looking for for your home and garden, consider making Costco Next your first stop.
