The Dollar Tree Pool Noodle Hack That'll Bring Sunny Vacation Vibes Into Your Home

However, simply purchasing an artificial palm tree is not only expensive, it also leaves you without the option to customize your tree to fit your home and your personality. On the other hand, you could utilize an easy, inexpensive pool noodle hack to create your very own customized palm tree decor.

To get started on building a basic palm tree, you'll need a decorative bucket or a planter, a pool noodle, a rod or broomstick, an assortment of medium-sized rocks, burlap or brown butcher paper, and several artificial palm or fern fronds. Most (if not all) of these supplies can be found at your local Dollar Tree store. As for assembly, the only tool you should need is a hot glue gun with a couple of glue sticks. 

The most wonderful part about making your own decor is that you can customize to your heart's content. A basic pool noodle palm tree uses a pool noodle for the trunk, which can be customized with a few simple changes using your Dollar Tree supplies. Insert a broomstick or rod into the center of the pool noodle and then wrap with your desired bark material. Place the trunk in the planter and arrange the rocks for support to keep it upright.

Glue the fronds into place, and you have a potted faux palm tree. Now is your time to shine. Make the tree your own by hanging tiny ornaments from the fronds or wrapping the trunk with small string lights. Add coconuts by wrapping foam craft balls with coconut plant liner and gluing them to underside of the fronds or placing them near the tree's base.
