Nate & Jeremiah's New Collection Proves Pet-Friendly Homes Can Still Be Stylish

Design experts Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, known for the HGTV show "The Nate & Jeremiah Project," are known for thinking outside the box. That's exactly what they did when designing their latest pet collection which merges functionality and elegance.

Just like we look to create a space for our kids, we also want to make our home feel not only comfortable but safe for our pets. But, if you are hoping for an aesthetic, pet products can often ruin that vibe with metal crates and unattractive dog beds. Luckily, Nate & Jeremiah released a brand new collection that combats this problem.

The Nate & Jeremiah for PetSmart collection officially launched its second round of items on February 1, 2024, featuring items for dogs and cats. The new collection, which adds to their original release of items for small pets like fish, hamsters, and reptiles, features everything from crate covers to make your run-of-the-mill wired crate look like a piece of furniture and side tables that double as a resting space for your cat. Now, you no longer have to choose between making your home pet-friendly or aesthetically pleasing –- you can have both.

What you can expect from Nate & Jeremiah's new pet collection

When Nate & Jeremiah first entered the pet scene, they focused their line on smaller pets, like guinea pigs, fish, reptiles, and hamsters. Now, the pair is adding to their collection and introducing products for cats and dogs. "As designers, we are always fascinated by how we can make a home more beautiful, more personal and more meaningful while also understanding the need for function," said Nate in a press release about the new collection. "Extending the collection to include cats and dogs was an opportunity to pull out all the stops because as pet parents we know what important family members they are."

Those new items include things like the Donut Pet Bed for $44.99, which Jeremiah says is one of his favorite items due to the sophisticated look and cozy factor. Nate favors the crate cover, which doubles as a side table for $159.99, and the fabric slipcover for $44.99 which covers the crate and helps it blend with the colors of your home. "If you look, like on social media, at our interiors, you'll notice a lot of the patterns, a lot of the colorways, a lot of the textures that we use in high-end residential design made it into this collection for dogs and cats," said Nate on PetSmart's YouTube channel.

Other items we love from the collection

Whether you are welcoming a new pet into your home or hoping to give your current pets an upgrade, there are a few things you can do. You can add a pet door to make it easy for them to go outside, buy furniture that has washable or stain-resistant fabrics, or you can buy items that are specifically used just for them. If you want to invest in a dog bed, you don't have to settle for bright colors or weird designs.

Nate & Jeremiah's new PetSmart collection features a ton of options for beds, like the Faux Leather Couch Bed for $59.99 and if your cat likes to curl up in corners or small spaces, their Chestnut Wood Finish Side Table Pet Home is a gorgeous option that looks like furniture, but has an ideal compartment for your pet.

And don't sleep on their PetSmart collections for other animals. Display your small animals on their Spiced Mahogany Universal Stand for $299.99. Not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is also water-resistant and comes with accessory hooks to attach your tank or habitat to. For inside the habitat, they created adorable and safe items like the Black & Tan Small Reversible Habitat Carpet for $22.99 that is absorbent, non-abrasive, and safe for all reptiles and amphibians.
