People who have trouble accessing these cabinets may even choose to avoid using them altogether. It turns out that there is a way to make this space a bit more useful if you get creative and have access to the side of the cabinet. TikTok user @jonesesdiy showed how to make the most of this often inconvenient storage space with a simple DIY. The content creator installed a space-saving pull-out wine glass holder in the cabinets.

Rather than having to strain your arms to reach high above the fridge, this innovative solution allows you to simply pull out a drawer-like sliding wood panel to reveal metal wine glass holders. You can simply slide a wine glass forward to remove it. It appears that @jonesesdiy built this DIY using drawer slides and metal wine glass holders. Although the TikToker does not show exactly which products were used or where to purchase them, Home Depot sells under-cabinet wine glass holders that look very similar to the ones shown in the video. They are priced at $14.62 each. The home improvement store also sells a variety of drawer slides. Here's how you can make it work.

Although @jonesesdiy does not provide a step-by-step of how to build the pull-out wine glass holder, it seems that the process is pretty simple. To build your version of this DIY, first remove the side panel of the cabinet. This will need to be detached so that you can install the sliding component. It may help to take the cabinet's doors off so you can reach inside to easily complete this installation. Next, take measurements of the inside of the cabinet to determine what size your sliding wood panel needs to be. After cutting your wood panel to size, attach your drawer slides to either side. Adhere the under-cabinet wine glass holders to the bottom of the panel.

Then, install the components of the drawer holder that will attach to the inside walls of the cabinet. Next, attach the cabinet's side panel to the end of your pull-out wine glass holder. Finally, slide the finished product into your cabinet. In @jonesesdiy's TikTok video, it appears that the DIY can hold quite a few wine glasses, so you should be able to free up space in your other cabinets after moving your glasses to this new pull-out holder.

If you have a more appropriately sized refrigerator that does not prevent you from opening your cabinet doors, you may prefer to leave your cabinet as is or modify your plans to have the glasses slide out from the front and use the existing cabinet doors.
