Organize Your Laundry Room With This Effective DIY Storage For Scent Boosters

When you do a lot of laundry, keeping everything in the right place can be tough. Between detergent, fabric softener, and scent boosters, having multiple bottles scattered around can quickly turn a clean and tidy space into a cluttered and chaotic one. Plus, mismatching bottles won't lend your dedicated laundry space the most aesthetic look. There is a solution though, and it comes in the form of moving your scent boosters into a jar.

Posted on TikTok by @pairswellwithwhine, this hack will not only stop you from losing the lids of various bottles, but is also great if you have a large family and live a busy life. Sometimes, things get lost without you knowing, and bottles can get mixed up. By putting your scent boosters in a jar, you'll save yourself a lot of time by not having to look for a specific bottle. We also love this hack because it allows you to get organized but in a way that won't take up much extra space in your laundry room.

This hack is both aesthetic and functional

For this hack, you'll need scent boosters, a large mason jar, and glue. As demonstrated in the above TikTok, simply pour your preferred scent boosters into the mason jar. Grab the lid of the scent booster bottle and then glue it to the lid of the jar, making sure it's nice and secure. Then, all you need to do is screw the lid back on for the next time you do a load of laundry. The built-in measuring lid will help you to pour out the right amount of scent boosting beads without the risk of losing it (due to it being glued to the lid of the jar).

In the video, Arm & Hammer scent boosters are used, but you can substitute for your favorite ones. Depending on the type of scent boosters you use, the bottle lid may not work as well. If the shape is wider or longer, it may not glue well or fit within the top of the jar. You might want to measure the lid of both the jar and the scent boosters to avoid the issue of the lid not fitting. While this hack is nice, it definitely isn't a must-do. However, it will bring some order to your laundry room and help you feel that bit more organized. If you're not able to glue the lid to the jar, or don't love the way it looks, you can also keep the measuring lid nearby to pour into, or find an attractive cup or container of the same size, which can serve as both your measuring cup and as a decorative item as well.
