You also want to ensure your surfaces are clean before adding a coat of spray paint, and keep your can at least an inch away from your workspace to ensure your stool has a cohesive stone appearance.

Once you've completed this chic TikTik hack, you may be tempted to start decorating your new stool. Although spray-painted plastic will feel dry to the touch in just half an hour, it won't fully cure for another 24 hours. While IKEA hacks such as these are an excellent way of creating chic items that match any home's aesthetic, you should hold off on decorating it until then to avoid paint transfer.
