Use TikTok's Paper Towel Holder Hack To Create A Fall Pumpkin Stack

Finding or creating the perfect fall centerpiece can often be both time-consuming and expensive, particularly if you're looking for a larger or taller piece for your table or decor. TikTok user @mrs.craftsalot, however, recently showed off a great hack for creating the perfect set of stacked pumpkins using a Dollar Tree metal paper towel holder and a trio of foam pumpkins. The end result is a great piece of decor that can be customized for height by the number and size of pumpkins you use on the holder.

Leave the stack as is, or add flowers, greenery, and other decor elements to flesh it out at the top of the stack. In the comments on the post, another TikTok user suggested that you can add more flowers and material between each pumpkin for additional volume and style. The entire project can easily be created for under $10 with dollar store supplies and a little creativity.

Making a DIY pumpkin stack

To create your pumpkin stack, begin by using a kitchen or craft knife to cut a slit in the middle of each foam pumpkin from the top down, ensuring that it's large enough to accommodate the top of the paper towel holder. This will allow you to slide each pumpkin down to the base of the holder to create a secure stack. You can fit around three medium-sized foam pumpkins, or mix with smaller ones tapering toward the top.

Use a glue gun to adhere the flowers and other decorative elements to the pumpkins. If you are using floral picks, you also drive them directly into the foam for a more secure hold. To give your centerpiece a custom look, try painting the pumpkins to match your decor. These stacks work great as both indoor and outdoor fall decorations. Create several stacks for a beautiful fireplace mantel or sideboard tableau or use them to line your Thanksgiving table.
