TikToker @niftynest was looking to create a large Halloween piece for her home that was both free and festive. And she succeeded greatly by using items she already had on hand. The result is a piece that looks darkly chic and so incredibly unique that you won't be able to find anything like it at the store. All you'll need is a sheet, black spray paint, a branch, candles, some fake crows, and a glue gun.

How to make your DIY tree branch centerpiece

You'll need to go outside and find yourself a tree branch that's at least one to three feet long. You'll want to make sure it can sit upright on a flat surface and has a shape that's visually pleasing. If you don't have the rest of the necessary items, you can get them from Amazon and the dollar store. A murder of crows will cost you $10, and a can of black spray paint is $6 on Amazon. If you don't have candles and candlesticks, head to Dollar Tree. A two-pack of 10-inch candlesticks cost $1.25. A single candlestick holder goes for the same price. If you're worried about having an open flame, you can opt for remote-controlled battery-operated candle sticks that cost two for $8 on Amazon.

You'll also need a bed sheet or a table runner. Go outside or find a well-ventilated area that is safe to paint in and spray paint your branch black. Next, place your table runner or a sheet folded to be about 12 inches or wider in the center of your table. Once your branch is dry, lie your branch on top of the sheet. Use a glue gun to hot glue your crows to your branch. Then, place your candles around and in between your tree branches. You'll be left with an incredible spooky centerpiece that will wow your guests and make you smile every time you see it.
