DIY The Cutest Fall Scarecrow With Pool Noodles, Here's How

While scarecrows are traditionally made from straw and sticks, it doesn't mean you can't get creative. If you're feeling festive this fall, then you may want to try out this DIY fall scarecrow with pool noodles by FABEDhacks on YouTube. Not only will this help you to use up any spare pool noodles that you have scattered around your home, but it's also extremely eye-catching. Likewise, it also works if you're on a budget and is likely much cheaper versus if you purchased a scarecrow yourself. What more could you possibly want?

If you're looking to get crafty this fall, then creating a unique scarecrow could be the perfect option. In fact, you could even turn it into a family activity. However, how exactly do you build it? While it may seem like an impossible task, it's surprisingly simple once you have all the items you need. Let's dive right into it.

You'll need several pool noodles

For this hack, you'll need some small clothes to fit your scarecrow, two Dollar Tree plungers, a bag of Dollar Tree river rocks, a hot glue gun, E6000 glue, a square sign, some wooden skewers, a Dollar Tree pumpkin bucket, and of course, several pool noodles. To create the base, you need to detach the sticks from your plungers, fill them with some rocks, and fix them to your sign using the glue gun. Pop the sticks back and cover them with pool noodles measured to their size. You should also chop some pool noodles for your arms and a small section for the neck.

For the body section, you need to stack two 9-inch pieces of pool noodles on top of the legs, followed by four 11-inch pieces using your glue and wooden skewers. Make sure to leave it to set and dry. Now, all you need to do is add the clothes to your pool noodle structure and connect the head with skewers and glue. As a result, you should end up with a rather eye-catching scarecrow. You can add any extra personal touches you feel necessary. The reason the hack works so well is because the pool noodles help to create the shape of the body, just as straw bags and sticks would. You could even use it as Halloween décor. However, you must ensure everything is fitted correctly, or you could risk it falling apart.
