This PVC Hack Makes The Perfect Shoe Organizer On A Budget

Whether you collect shoes as a hobby or if you just wear them out of necessity, there's nothing more satisfying than opening your closet and seeing that you have scores of shoes to choose from. However, that closet can easily become cluttered with footwear. This goes for those of us who have different shoes scattered around the house as well. It often gets to the point where you run out of space and need somewhere else to put them. Renovating your closet to make more room is far too expensive to do, and purchasing a new shelf is in that same boat. If you find yourself needing to expand your shoe closet without hurting your bank account, then you'll absolutely love this YouTube PVC hack that makes an amazing shoe organizer.

Shoes aren't very big, but a lot of them can take up all your wardrobe space. Using PVC pipes as shoe holders is a great way to improvise some extra storage space while adding artistic geometric dimensions to your living space. With a few tools, including about a dozen pipes, a saw, paint, and very strong glue, you could build a little shoe corner right there in your own room.

Glue the pipes together to create multiple shoe compartments

PVC pipes are widely used to channel liquids through sewage systems and houses, but you probably didn't know they make a tasteful addition to your storage closet. This YouTube video shows how, with just a bit of effort, you can transform these pipes into a shoe holder for your newest pairs of footwear.

Start by measuring out and cutting your pipes. You can even draw out the pattern you want to stack them up with to guide you. The pipes should all be the same length, so mark them with a pencil or marker. Then, saw the pipes according to their marks. If you're not handy with tools or you just want to skip the extra labor, you can have them cut at the store where you bought the pipes. Then, position the pipes according to your design, mark them again, and glue them to each other with the PVC cement. If you don't have PVC cement, you can use Gorilla Glue. Don't forget to put on safety gloves throughout all this to protect your hands from the glue.

Next, apply some paint primer to your new contraption and paint it whatever color you choose. Finally, set up your new shoe holder in your room and transfer your shoes to it. The best thing about this hack is that you can add new pipes to it if you need more shoe storage space.
