The Hack To Clean A Hard-To-Reach Spot In Your Oven
The kitchen is a tricky place to keep 100% clean, 100% of the time because of all the nooks and crannies, and the multitude of cracks here and there. It's also a place where you don't want to leave any spills or crumbs because they could attract unwanted pests into your home like ants and cockroaches. Unfortunately, this isn't the easiest thing to do, especially if you regularly use your oven. Your oven can harbor a lot of leftover food particles and gunk from being an enclosed space for cooking which means you have to be extra thorough when cleaning it.
One of the filthiest parts of your oven is that hard-to-reach space in between the door. If you switch on your oven lights, you can clearly see the buildup inside that space through the door. Fortunately, there is a helpful TikTok hack from the self-proclaimed "Queen of Cleaning" Vanesa Amaro (@vanesamaro91) that can make even those hard-to-reach areas easier to wipe down.
Every time you clean your oven, you should endeavor to tidy up that tight corner inside the door. It's a favorable breeding ground for bacteria because of the food stuck in there and the steam that emanates from the oven. If your concern is how you could possibly access that space and then even reach into it to wipe it down, there's a trick that can save you the stress.
Pull out the oven drawer and use a duster to clean the door
When you cook food in the oven, it tends to drip, leak, and splatter, leading to greasy streaks and grime. Because the door is securely fastened, you may not even know that it's possible to give the space inside it a good wipe-down to clear up all that muck. Fortunately, there is a TikTok hack that makes cleaning this hard-to-reach spot a breeze. TikTok cleaning enthusiast Vanesa Amaro uses a long duster like this microfiber duster from Amazon to tackle that pesky space between the oven's glass doors.
After you have secured your duster, remove the bottom oven drawer compartment under your stove to access the space between the door panels. If you're not sure how to do this, check the manual for directions. Once the bottom compartment is unfastened, saturate the duster with your preferred cleaning solution and then slide it into the open space. Move it from side to side to properly give it a good cleaning.
If you find that you can't reach the entire door space, check to see if there are other bottom compartments that you need to pull out in order to do so, and then take care of those as well. If you're expecting visitors and don't have the time to wait for your duster delivery, the creator offers a quick DIY solution: "A hanger with a microfiber towel will do just fine." Simply use rubber bands to secure the towel into the hanger.
