TikTok's Unbeatable Hack Makes Cleaning Cabinets Easier Than Ever

Sure, you've cleaned your kitchen counters, ensuring all food remnants are wiped away. You've also mopped your kitchen floors, keeping them sparkling and looking like new. But what about your kitchen cabinets? They can often seem daunting, especially since you need to use a stool to clean them in their entirety. For this reason and the sheer inconvenience of cleaning them, they often go overlooked. Unfortunately, your kitchen cabinets can accrue dirt, grease, and cobwebs, just like any other surface in your home. But there's an incredible hack that can make cleaning your cabinets a breeze, and all you need is a Swiffer-style mop and an old towel or cloth.

If you don't have a Swiffer mop, fret not — there are other ways you can carry out this genius hack. Also, the type of towel you use doesn't matter, either. Just grab whatever you have handy that you don't mind getting covered in cabinet grime, and be prepared to "ooh and aah" after you implement this amazing cleaning trick. And the best part? You can use one cleaning apparatus for floors and cabinets for a double win.

Any Swiffer-style mop will do

If you don't have a Swiffer, this hack still works wonders. According to @cleaningwithgabie, all you need to do is use an old cloth and attach it the same way you'd attach Swiffer disposable pads. Next, spray your makeshift mop head with one of your favorite non-toxic cleaning solutions (we recommend you spray your house with white vinegar for the ultimate green cleaning tool). Once your mop head has been pre-moistened with your cleaning solution, simply run it along the exterior surface of your cabinets. You can even use it on the baseboards of your lower cabinets, cleaning every nook and cranny.

Just be mindful of how much dirt and debris comes off your cabinets, and swap out your mop head accordingly. You don't want anything to scratch your cabinets, so change what you clean with as needed. If you don't have the type of mop where cloths snap securely into place, you can also use the kind where elastic-lined mop heads attach, similar to a hair net. You can also use disposable mop heads, although reusable ones are better for the environment and your wallet. And when you're done? Grab a new mop head and tackle your floors. This hack just made cleaning your kitchen cabinets that much easier (and much safer; no stool required!).
