Home Depot's Newest Exclusive Partnership Is Perfect For Our Post-Pandemic World
Many people have areas of their homes with difficult cleaning tasks. It could be the side of your stove where grease and food particles always build up or the tile in the bathrooms that always looks dingy. However, there are also concerns when it comes to cleanliness. In a post-pandemic world, it helps to have as many tools as possible available to help you keep your home sanitary and as germ-free as possible.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends consistently cleaning down surfaces to get rid of germs like Shigella, Giardia, and norovirus, all of which can cause illness with exposure. To disinfect surfaces, the agency recommends using bleach, but it's easy to make mistakes when cleaning with bleach in the home (not to mention not getting it on surfaces that it could stain.) A recent announcement from Home Depot and Ecolab, a manufacturer of commercial cleaning supplies and chemicals, may provide a new and highly effective way of keeping your home healthier.
Ecolab at Home Depot could make sanitizing a bit easier
Ecolab is a noted commercial cleaning manufacturer that supplies hospitals, restaurants, hotels, and other establishments with products for sanitizing and cleaning difficult surfaces. The company is launching a line of degreasers, floor and bathroom care products, and pressure washer solutions designed to help the homeowner with both sanitization and tough-to-clean grime. Even better, those products will be readily available in Home Depot locations around the U.S., as noted in a recent article from the Star Tribune.
The executive vice president of merchandising at Home Depot, Jeff Kinnaird, shared, "Having Ecolab Scientific Clean on our shelves not only provides our Pro customers [a way] to deliver a professional clean, but it allows our DIY customers to bring that cleaning power into their homes as well." For many consumers, the Ecolab logo may seem familiar. That's because the manufacturer created a certification process for companies to complete in order to have access to the Ecolab Science Certified logo, which they could then place on doors or displays, indicating their dedication to cleanliness. Now, the important process of disinfecting surfaces at home and scrubbing away grease buildup will be easier to manage.
