All The Best Home Items On Oprah's Favorite Things List For 2022
Kicking off the holiday season with a bang, Oprah has revealed her 2022 list of her favorite things. This year, the former talk show host has a wide variety of categories, ranging from clothing to home essentials and even books. Known for her gift-giving and big heart, per Entertainment Tonight, last year marked the 25th anniversary of Oprah's Favorite Things.
According to Oprah Daily, this segment began in 1996 on her highly-viewed talk show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show," when a senior producer presented her with a pair of pajamas. She instantly fell in love — and then a light bulb came on. Oprah bought the same pajama set for her whole staff before deciding to buy them for the entire audience. Amazed by the excitement she received, this then led to her creating the annual holiday feature. Even though her eponymous talk show ended in 2010, the acts of kindness have still continued.
Like previous years, Oprah is focused on highlighting products from small-business owners. Additionally, every item is available on Amazon. With nearly 100 different businesses, Oprah chose a total of 104 different giftable items. To help with your holiday shopping, we've listed all the best home items on Oprah's Favorite Things list for 2022.
Luxurious appliances
A few of the many items on Oprah's list are kitchen appliances, via Oprah Daily. For example, one of her favorites is this toaster, panini press, and warming rack combo made by Revolution. Available for about $400, the toaster is more than just your average implement and contains many different features, including a fun-to-use touchscreen with 34 modes. It's also said to heat food within seconds — drastically reducing any unnecessary wait time — and traps moisture to cook your meal without drying it out.
Not to be missed is a pizza oven made by Solo Stove. This nearly $700 gadget contains a gas burner; you can also purchase the model without it for $500. However, both contain a wood fire feature that can be used to a max temperature of 800 degrees. Made of stainless steel, the 15-by-20-inch pizza oven weighs 30 pounds and is durable and long-lasting, making it easy to move anywhere you desire. Also included with the purchase is a pizza stone, pizza cutter, and an IR thermometer.
Gorgeous bathroom additions
Of course, this wouldn't be a true home items list if it didn't include bathroom essentials. Per Oprah Daily, the talk show host only included a few items for this commonly used area — both of which are towels. For starters, one of Oprah's favorites is this charcoal bath towel bundle made by Cozy Earth. For about $240, you get two bath sheets, two bath towels, two hand towels, and four washcloths. Manufactured in a weave-like shape, everything is made with 40% viscose from bamboo and 60% cotton and designed to not pull or stretch, which makes them machine washable.
Not to be left out, Oprah included a special design for babies and toddlers as well. Made by Natemia, this design is available for just under $36 in six different colors: blue, blush, gray, ochre, sage, and white. Made in Turkey, they're designed with organic cotton and produced with a soft twist technology to keep them fluffy and soft. The 35-by-35-inch baby towels are also machine washable and durable enough to maintain their softness after many washes.
Must-have kitchen essentials
Back in the kitchen, Oprah included other basic necessities as well. For starters, one of her favorite items is a dinnerware set made by Leeway. This bundle is available for $220 and comes in many colors, including blue, green, red, yellow, white, midnight, slate, and sand. Out of this 44-piece set, you get four each of the following: large plates, small plates, bowls, wine glasses, mugs, and short glasses. Similarly, the 20-piece set of flatware also consists of four of the following items: large forks, small forks, tablespoons, teaspoons, and butter knives. Made of stainless steel, stoneware ceramics, and custom hand-blown glass, these dishes are perfect for everyday use and are dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
Another equally convenient kitchen essential is this set of three prep bowls made by Magenta. At $52, the dishware is perfect for mixing and preparing meals, and the sprouted edge on each bowl is perfect for pouring mixtures into other dishes. Made from ceramic stoneware, each bowl contains an off-white glaze with an exposed base and rippled effect design. They're dishwasher safe and are each a different size. The largest model is 3 ¼ inches tall and 6 ½ inches wide, while the medium-sized bowl is 3 ¼ inches tall and 5 ½ inches wide. The smallest bowl is also 3 ¼ inches tall and 4 ½ inches wide.
Cozy blankets
It wouldn't be a list of Oprah's favorite things if there weren't blankets included. One of the celebrity's favorite blankets is made by House No. 23 and comes in three colors: coconut, moss green, and Sedona. For $198, this 51-by-67-inch cozy necessity is made from organic Turkish cotton and is double-layered, with the sherpa material located on one side and the Turkish cotton on the other. It's also free of any synthetic dyes and harmful chemicals.
If you like to travel, Oprah has you covered with another blanket collection. Designed by Rumpl, the 52-by-75-inch blankets feature several different national park designs — Denali, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Great Smoky National Park, Joshua Tree, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion — and cost between $103 and $203. The puffy blankets, which are water- and odor-resistant, also repel dirt, pet hair, spilled drinks, and much more. They're made from the same material used in sleeping bags and are ideal for camping and the outdoors. Of course, they work perfectly indoors as well. Attached are clips and corner loops, so you can wear them as capes like your favorite superheroes.
Natural home items
Lastly, Oprah opted to add a few natural home items to her list. For example, one of her favorites is this olive plant tree from PlantOGram, which costs about $87 and can be used indoors and outdoors. While each plant varies in size, the tree can reach anywhere from 2 to 3 feet tall. It's self-pollinating and needs to have full sun exposure. Therefore, if you display it in your home, make sure it's in the sunniest area, like a south-facing floor-to-ceiling window. Additionally, it produces olive fruit, which can be used for culinary purposes (think olive oil). As an added bonus, when a tree gets purchased, PlantOGram plants another one somewhere else.
Finally, Oprah's one and only favorite candle of the year is produced by Snif. Available for just over $130, this 50-ounce candle is 7.5 inches tall and 6.1 inches wide. Named "Old Saint Wick," you can buy it in several different scents, including apple blossom, Siberian pine, jasmine, rosemary, sandalwood, cedarwood, and fir balsam. This candle is non-toxic, made from vegan formulas, paraffin-free, and cruelty-free. It also has more than 200 hours of burn time, as the wick is made from pure cotton. However, limit its use to four hours.
