- Tierra had the honor of being her university's NABJ president for two years straight.
- Her first job out of college was with Girlboss, where she created her own newsletter, Casual Fridays, which featured her weekly astrology column and went out to an audience of 200K.
- Tierra interned at Apartment Therapy, reviewing products from Dyson, Hello Fresh, Papier, and many other brands. She also met their team officials and discussed her reviews of their products, where her feedback was used to make the products more consumer-focused.
Experience
While in college, Tierra held executive positions in her university's newspaper (The Daily News) and magazine (Ball Bearings) and helped bring many accolades to the publications. In 2019, she also won the regional Keating Competition and competed against six other finalists across the state in a rigorous news-based challenge. Tierra has interned with Beyond Type 1, Apartment Therapy, The Everygirl, and The Everymom, creating countless articles and social media posts. While at Girlboss, Tierra was an editorial assistant responsible for writing a daily newsletter, articles surrounding political movements, and features about women in positions of power making a difference. She specialized in all things astrology and was appointed the company's resident astrologist. She was also given a chance to speak with a variety of women from different spiritual and astrological backgrounds, as well as put in contact with business owners who wanted her opinion on products that were to be released into the metaphysical, astro-lover community.

Tierra graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in journalism and a minor in creative writing.
