Instagram DIYer skripnik_katya uses six bamboo sticks, some rope, a glass jar, black acrylic paint, a small wire, and a hot glue gun to create this design. After cutting the bamboo sticks to the desired length — 7 inches for the bottom three and 11 inches for the standing three — glue all of the corners together with hot glue. Paint the pyramid structure, and then tie the rope ends together to create a loop. Use that loop to attach the glass jar, and finally, use a small twist wire to attach the rope ends to the top of the pyramid. Finally, add a little water to the jar, and your favorite plant clipping. Your DIY is now ready to be displayed!

Make this DIY your own

This DIY is simple enough that you can design it to fit your own home's decor. If you don't like the chic black color, paint the bamboo sticks with whatever you have around the house. A gold or bronze paint could give a metallic look to the project. If you want a more rustic look, check out how YouTuber Macreme by Cre ties the small jars to a branch. You probably wouldn't want to avoid painting this DIY completely though, as the corners connected with hot glue will likely stand out.

Don't have any bamboo sticks? No problem. There are so many handy ways to repurpose chopsticks around the house. Try them out for this DIY. You will need to adjust the scale of the project slightly, as most takeout chopsticks are only 8 to 9 inches, and you may need to account for the chopsticks taper at the end. Since the structure will be a little smaller, find a smaller jar to adjust. And if you don't like the idea of a DIY structure, once you know how to tie the jars, you can skip the structure entirely, and hang them from a hook already in your house.
